Terminology for Social Media

Follow – When you want to receive updates from another user, you follow them. Other platforms use Subscribe

Unfollow – When you no longer want to get updates from another user, you unfollow them. Other platforms use Unsubcribe

Tweet – A post on Twitter is called a Tweet as in “I tweeted today” or “Did you read my Tweet?”

Subscribe – When you want to receive updates from another user, you subscribe to them. Other platforms use Follow

Social Media Platform – A platform is the technology or site that allows you to interact with other users, create, and share content; sometimes used synonymously with social media network

Network – Your network is your group of followers or subscribers
